Already, Brown has pledged $50 million to job training programs in Rhode Island over the next decade. Harvard has signaled in settlement talks that it’s ready to spend as much as $500 million. While some experts question this ‘potential redistribution of wealth,’ others see it as a ‘corrective’ that can help align higher education with today’s labor market.”
