From Inc. Magazine: “This demographic is shifting away from desk jobs to blue-collar work, believing trade jobs offer more stability and better financial incentives. Much of the cohort’s enthusiasm for work in the trades is driven by growing concerns over AI’s potential to eliminate jobs, and the difficulty many Gen-Zers report in finding work after earning college degrees. Currently, 42 percent of Gen-Zers are working in the trades, and 37 percent of them have a bachelor’s degree, according to a survey of more than 1,400 Gen-Z adults by Resume Builder. The survey also notes that men said they are far more likely to pursue trade jobs than women: 30 percent of Gen-Z women said they are interested in these careers.”
