From University World News: “Doing badly at a top-rated university in the United Kingdom can result in lower earnings outcomes for graduates than doing well at a less selective British university, according to new research by the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) for the Department for Education. The findings show the difference in graduate earnings is much wider between graduates leaving a UK university with a lower second-class honours degree (2.2) than an upper second-class honours degree (2.1) than the pay differential for graduates gaining a first-class honours over those achieving a 2.1.”
