Bank of Marin is a leading business and community bank with 27 Bay Area retail branches — including three in Napa County and five in Sonoma County — and a growing presence in the Sacramento region. To better serve all customers, the bank aimed to ensure its website aligned with current Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), making digital content more usable for people with a wide range of impairments and the assistive technologies they rely on, such as screen readers.
Kiosk conducted a thorough accessibility evaluation, combining automated scans with hands-on manual auditing to assess compliance with WCAG 2.1, relevant Section 508 criteria, and widely accepted accessibility best practices. Through this process, we uncovered hundreds of issues, including critical errors appearing on the homepage and across multiple site templates.
Working together with Bank of Marin’s team, Kiosk addressed high-priority issues, implemented key accessibility fixes, and provided training to help their internal web team maintain compliance going forward. The result is a site that is significantly more accessible, more inclusive, and far better equipped to support customers with diverse digital needs.
